Port de Larrau

Between the French valley town Larrau and Ochagavia on the Spanish side, Port de Larrau crosses the ridge below the 2,017-meter high Pic d’Orhy. Due to its partially very steep ascents, it was classified as a Category 1 pass during the few years that it was included in the Tour de France. The climb from the north over the preceding Col d’Erroimendy, in particular, is a real killer for cyclists.
