SC-28 Curves
This route follows the scenic SC-28, passing through SC and GA, up to a nice small town (Highlands) in NC. It passes through beautiful forests and some has some lovely mountain lookouts along the way, a few lookouts have space for you to stop as well. Most, if not all, of the corners are properly banked and are confidence inspiring. Two or three of the blind hairpins are decreasing radius: not dangerous at all unless you are very careless. Traffic: The route is usually devoid of too much traffic, but be warned that there are essentially no passing zones. However there are a few good waiting zones where you can pull off and allow any traffic to disappear while you look behind you for any oncoming. Traffic is usually pretty-light to non-existent mid-morning on Sundays, Night runs are almost entirely devoid of human interference. Food in Highlands: The 'Ugly Dog Public House' is a Pub with great food, good regardless of your age. 'Ruka's Table' is moderately nicer with really good food. The town is small but has a lot of places to eat and shops to visit if you perhaps bring a passenger who isn't just in it for the drive. Note 1: This route is easily accessed from the Clemson, SC/Greenville, SC area Note 2: I drive a '13 Subaru BRZ on better rubber, alas not a Porsche (what I wouldn't do for a Cayman GT4)… But it's really fun on the side of a mountain
