Crawford Notch (Attitash to Bretton Woods)

A great driving route in the White Mountain National Forest, from the Attitash Mountain Resort in Bartlett, through Crawford Notch, to the historic Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods. This is essential the best section of Route 302, and the gain in elevation going up Crawford Notch is entertaining. The scenery is not bad either, especially with the top down on a late Spring or early Fall day. After all, it is in the White Mountain National Forest. The photograph shows the Mount Washington Hotel in early Spring, with snow still covering the summit of Mount Washington.
