Col du Pourtalet

At a height of almost 1,800 meters, this pass crosses the border between France and Spain. While Pourtalet is of no particular interest to drivers, it is definitely worth a trip for cyclists. The word "trip" should be taken extremely seriously, by the way: Col du Pourtalet may not be particularly steep and arduous, but with approaches of over 12 miles each, this Pyrenean pass is still hard work for cyclists.
