Eifel twisty roads

My favorite twisty road through Eifel national park starts with the first bends on the approach to Heimbach. In Heimbach we turn left where you can stop and visit the Burg Hengebach. We pass Mariawald Abbey which is also open for visitors. We continue through the forest and pass the parking of Kermeter, a very scenic walking route which is fully barrier-free. We continue over the dam on Rursee lake, and turn into the hills again. We drive through Schmidt turning right and go into the woods again - this time in the foothills of Burg Nideggen.
