Ruta de Sa Calobra
One of the most fascinating highlights in Mallorca is neither beach nor village nor cathedral. It is the Ruta de Sa Calobra. It is renowned for its snake-like shape and even more so for its 270° “knot“ turn, the kind you normally only see as part of your toy race track at home. This unique 13-kilometer asphalt route came to be because its builder, Spanish engineer Antonio Parietti, wanted to avoid digging tunnels by all means. So, you can now steer your car through some 800 turns from Mallorca City to Sa Calobra Creek with spectacular views throughout.
