Mangana to Avoca (TAS)

The route from Mangana to Avoca on the Rossarden Road in Tasmania is another stunning stage on the Targa Tasmania. The Targa Tasmania is a rally event held on the island state Tasmania, Australia, annualy since 1992. The event takes its name from the Targa Florio, a former rally event held on the island of Sicily, Italy. The competition concept is drawn directly from the best features of the Mille Miglia, the Coupe des Alpes and the Tour de Corse. The route is short and sweet and the tarmac is smooth. The narrow road sweeps from wide open areas near Mangana to steep inclines into the forests of the surrounding hills. It is in the forests near Avoca where the road turns to a pleasant winding playground.
