Lake Shore Drive. Wonderful lake views going north or south. Best city views on the return trip going south to north. Numerous great stops along the way with several Museums, beaches, harbors and other landmarks along the route. Striking city views from the pier at 31st Street Harbor which also has a great playground and picnic park overlooking the harbor. Start or end at Calumet Fisheries for some smoked fish and shrimp; a hidden gem on the south side. (and it's not unsafe during the day.) Plenty of places to stretch it out on this 3-4 lane highway. Careful of the CPD though, more so on the north side. My favorite stretch is from 47th street to the turn at Marquette Dr. where there's very little traffic.
