Hwy-236 / Big Basin / Boulder Creek
Northern half runs though Big Basin Redwoods State Park. It's very beautiful/scenic, and has a great road conditions after being recently resurfaced. However, the northern half is very narrow (effectively single lane for long stretches) and thus you're blind and have no room for oncoming traffic. Keep your pace way down for reasons of basic safety. The southern half below the park opens up and is similar to Hwy-9 (also close by). You can more easily stretch your legs in this section...
