Der wilde Süden
A combination of Black Forest and Lake Constance means that this road trip has all the ingredients for a fantastic weekend. Heading down from the north on day one, you will venture deeper into the Black Forest with every curve. The driving is characterised by dams and waterfalls, sections of country road and small winding roads. The route can therefore also be described as dynamic and intensive. The drive south along the Black Forest High Road takes you to the Schauinsland mountain and finally to the location where the Rhine begins to be a river. Day two is more relaxed in terms of driving, and the route takes you along well-constructed country roads with gentle, wide bends. The scenic route continues to Lake Constance, which you will cross with a ferry to Meersburg. As you drive through the Swabian Alb highland region, you will pass the Hohenzollern Castle, which is the ideal place to make a short stop. You will pass by Tübingen before the route takes you back to the Stuttgart area.
