Long Island Parkway Run

A tour of Eastern Long Island's parkways from Prospect Park in Brooklyn to Sunken Meadow State Park by way of the Belt, Southern State, Meadowbrook, Ocean, Sagtikos and Sunken Meadow parkways. A fun mix of roads starting with thick urban traffic, twisting highways, a long oceanside straightaway, and a country (suburban) road. The route ends at a great car wash to rinse the ocean salt off. From there, several routes back to the city are available, the best choice normally dependent on how bad traffic is.
