Fujisan Skyline

Japan’s vibrant capital city, Tokyo provides (virtually) everything that makes life worth living. The surrounding region also has plenty to offer. This route therefore takes you out of the city – and up to the volcano on Mount Fuji. Japan’s highest mountain is not only popular with hikers and climbers, but also with driving enthusiasts. Lasting approximately two hours, the drive there is an incredible combination of relaxation and enjoyment at the wheel: an excellent system of motorways takes you along the coast of south-west Japan. Here, on the last leg of the tour, is the true highlight of this route: the winding roads at the foot of Mount Fuji, known as the Fujisan Skyline. The reward for all this ‘hard work’: breathtaking views of the bays of Suruga and Sagami.
