Sustenpass

The young, 2,224-meter high Susten Pass has only connected the Canton of Uri with the Canton of Bern since 1946. Depending on the weather, the pass is only open from June to October, showing that it is mainly used for tourism. The route begins on the northern climb of the Gotthard Pass and a tunnel crosses below the summit.
