Zion National Park Name
Among America's most storied national parks, Zion National Park awes millions of visitors each year with its massive sandstone outcroppings. Luckily for driving enthusiasts, the entire park is ringed by one of America’s most stunning scenic byways, making it an ideal road trip location.The route starts southbound on State Route 17, before following the Zion Scenic Byway to the park's south entrance at Springdale. From here, the route begins to follow the Virgin River as it winds its way past the massive sandstone formations at Angels Landing and Court of the Patriarchs.The route turns north at Mt. Carmel and passes through the iconic Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel. Turning onto State Route 14, the road passes the 2000-foot Cedar Breaks National Monument, which offers four breathtaking overlook points. Arriving at Cedar City, the route turns south on Interstate 15 to complete the trip.
