The French Classic

A classic destination for the Tour de France and also the highest mountain pass in the French Pyrenees: Col de Tourmalet. Although literally translated Tourmalet means something like ‘bad path’, this certainly is not the case for fans of twisting roads and GTS drivers. On this suggested route, we start in the surfer’s paradise Biarritz and wind our way up to the Pyrenees in the east, stopping off along the way in Pau. Just like the Monaco Grand Prix, the annual racing events here take place on a narrow street circuit that runs between the houses.
