Germany’s beauty uncorked

Wine and driving normally don’t go too well together. The German Wine Road, however, is a marvelous exception to this rule. For it offers more than 260 kilometers of Germany at its best. Starting from the city of Frankfurt you soon reach the Palatine countryside with its soft hills, medieval towns and notoriously mild weather conditions. The latter may explain why Germany’s largest undivided wine growing area can be found exactly here. Sprinkled not only with panoramic view points but also with highly recommendable inns and restaurants traveling this route might take considerably longer than your normal 260 kilometers. Enjoy!
